Former National Football League stars
hit the
Villages
golf course to raise
funds for charities

A horde of golfers and former National Football League stars swarmed the grounds of the Villages golf course to help those in need during the Fifth Annual Celebrity Open on Sept. 17.
The event, organized by members of the NFL Players Association’s Northern California Retired Players Chapter, raised funds for the Charles Reid Foundation, the East Palo Alto YMCA, SMART Students, Inc, and the Semper Fi Fund. | Pumpkins in the Park
Celebrate the 12th Annual Pumpkins in the Park on Oct. 13 at Discovery Meadow. Bright pumpkins, fanciful scarecrows and a variety of entertainment and activities are the hallmarks of this popular fall event. Produced by the Friends of Guadalupe River Park and Gardens, this event will also feature fresh pressed apple cider, and entertainment by popular children’s entertainers the Banana Slug String Band, Zun Zun, Andy Z and many more.
