Evergreen Area Police report
Dec. 14
Attempted armed robbery/burglary
76 Gas Station at 1708 Tully Rd.
Three suspects approached the gas station clerk and demanded money. One of the suspects brandished a knife. The clerk defended himself with a broomstick as the suspects punched him several times. The suspects fled in a light colored vehicle. Approximately ten minutes later, officers spotted the suspect vehicle at the AM/PM gas station at Quimby and Capitol. Two suspects were apprehended and positively identified by the victim. One of the suspects was wanted on a felony arrest warrant. One suspect was booked into County Jail and the other suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall. The third suspect is still outstanding.

Battery on an officer
Tully/Capitol
An officer responding to a welfare check found an Asian male lying in the median strip. The suspect immediately attacked the officer, who requested Code 3 assistance. A Taser was used to overcome the suspect’s resistance. The officer suffered facial injuries, and was treated then released at a local hospital. The suspect was transported to a local hospital, placed on 5150 hold, arrested for battery on an officer, and resisting arrest, and hospital-booked due to an inability to identify the suspect.

Assault with a deadly weapon
3800 Block of Hurstglen
Officers responded to a residence on a report of a person with a gunshot wound. The residence was searched and no victims or evidence of a shooting were located. Later, a subject walked into a local hospital and reported being hit in the head with a bottle during a fight at the residence where the shooting was said to have occurred. No suspects have been arrested or identified.

Strong armed robbery
3200 Block of S. White
A 70-year-old female victim was walking through the lot at the above location when two suspects physically grabbed the purse she was holding. In the process, the victim fell and sustained a minor facial wound. The suspects, two Hispanic males, fled eastbound on foot and are outstanding.

Armed robbery
3300 block San Felipe Road - A.L. Liquors
The suspect entered the store and displayed a handgun that was in his waistband. The suspect demanded money. The suspect fled the store and may have gotten into a waiting car. The suspect is still outstanding.
Dec. 20
Strong armed robbery
Burdette Drive/Alvin Avenue
The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse as she was walking on Burdette Drive near Alvin Avenue. The 49-year-old female victim struggled and was knocked to the ground. The victim was not injured. The suspect fled on foot with another male. The suspect is still outstanding.
