Evergreen Village Square business owners meet
Twenty-four business owners and interested parties met at Java Junction on Dec. 6 to begin the formation of a group seeking to enhance the Evergreen Village Square. Hoping to create a synergy of common purpose and networking, they discussed how an association could benefit the owners and the community.
Rose Herrera, founder and chair of Involved Evergreen sponsored the meeting and introduced the program. Bill Bellou, CEO and publisher of Times Media, Inc. and the Evergreen Times, spoke about ways to effectively market the Square. Carla Evans, president of the Evergreen Business and Professional Association discussed the value of contacts and networking.
After light refreshments, provided by Shapell Industries, and a chance to network with each other, the group talked about organizing an Evergreen Village Square Business Owners Association. Danielle Bechwaty Farran was selected as the acting chair for the new venture.
