Evergreen Business and Professional Association
 |
| Rose Herrera, founder of Involved Evergreen, and Bill Bellou, CEO and publisher of Times Media Inc., spoke to an organizing meeting for an Evergreen Business Owners Association. |
If you own a business in the Evergreen section of San Jose, or own a business outside of Evergreen but live in Evergreen, why not join a local business networking group and network with other local businesses to generate referrals and increase your business’s visibility and help promote your business?
Evergreen Business and Professional Association (“EBPA”) is renewing all current memberships and accepting new members beginning Jan. 1, 2008. To find out more about EBPA, attend one of its many mixers throughout the year.
The mixers are held at locations throughout the Evergreen area such as the Evergreen Public Library, local restaurants, or at a member’s place of business.
EBPA is never without exciting and interesting speakers discussing a variety of subjects from community issues, such as ways to improve our beautiful Evergreen district, to learning how to network ourselves and our businesses more effectively to other businesses and government officials running for office who choose to use EBPA as a way to get their message to the general public.

| Danielle Bechwaty Farran was selected as the acting chair for the new venture. |
However, EBPA is not limited to strictly business interests. It is also actively involved in projects that directly impact the Evergreen community. For instance, it was EBPA who instituted the planting of trees along Norwood Avenue between Ruby and White Roads, eliminating the graffiti access to the fences along the roadway. It was also through the efforts of EBPA that excessive signage was removed from San Felipe Road. You could also say that EBPA dabbles in the arts – EBPA will soon start preparing for its third Fine Arts Festival and hopes to have another successful festival in 2009.
As you can see, wherever your interests lie, EBPA offers something for you. The annual fees are only $50 and if you join between July and December, they are reduced to $25.
EBPA plans to expand its presence and exposure but can only do so by getting the word out to the various local businesses. Support your community and help your business by joining now! You may reach our President, Carla Evans, by e-mail at ebpa@plazadental.com or 408-270-4333, or Secretary, Filomena Cota, by e-mail at filomena1961@comcast.net or 408-238-1244 and obtain more information or request an application for membership.
