Annual EVHS craft fair raises EVHS $6,754
The EVHS Athletic Booster Club added $6,754 to its general fund at the conclusion of the club’s annual holiday craft faire at Evergreen Valley High School in November. The money will help pay for athletic trainers, tournaments, equipment and travel.
As part of the craft faire, the booster club hosts a raffle to generate funds. Helen Baldovinos, co-owner of Let’s Travel at 1049 E. Capitol Expressway, donated two three-day Hopper Passes to Disneyland Resort and Disney’s California Adventure Theme Parks, valued at $278, as the grand prize for the raffle.

Doug is a supervisor with PG&E and the Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 264. Sue is a teacher at LeyVa Middle School and a volunteer with Boy Scouts of America on the district level.
Don’t miss Dec. 3 college panel at Tully Branch Library
The Strength for the Day club will be offering a college panel in the community center of the Tully Branch Library, 880 Tully Road, on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The panelists will discuss various options in higher education, including community, public/ University of California and private colleges. There will also be plenty of time to ask questions.
Panelist Linda Flournoy, a teacher in the East Side Union High School District’s ACCEL Middle College located on the Evergreen Valley College campus, will discuss the community college experience within the ACCEL program. Flournoy attended UC Santa Cruz for two years, then transferred to and graduated from UC Berkeley. She later attended Stanford University for her graduate studies.
Panelist Ingrid Rottman, who works with EVC’s Transfer program, will discuss how to transfer from EVC to a four-year school.
Student panelists include Peggy Chung from Stanford University, Justin Nguyen from UC Berkeley and Julie Ann Yueh, previously from UC Davis and now at Santa Clara University.
