Joan Lois Larry Loeswick
1929 – 2005 |
A devoted wife, she is mourned by her husband of 53 years, Edward William Loeswick Jr. A gifted artist, she painted a wide variety of fine china with floral patterns and other motifs, which were much sought after.
Her dedication to her garden and love of flowers was reflected in the splendor of her backyard and the exquisite quality of her porcelain artwork. An avid collector of antique dolls, she was a charter member of the Treasures of Childhood and an active member of the Ultimate Doll’ers. She shared her hobby with friends at the Bank of America, where she worked for 21 years, and at the Villages in San Jose, where she lived.
She enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing golf, and taking walks with her dog Sarah. She was the heart and center of a close-knit family. She is survived by her husband Ed, brothers John Larry, Don Larry, and sister Jean Sellers, sons Kurt, Tom, Larry, Wick, daughters-in-law, Maureen, Debbie, Mary, CeCe, and grandchildren Christopher, Brian, Megan, Mark, Jonathan, Allison, Skyler and Nash.
Her family “honors the passing of this magnificent, unique and loving woman who goes ahead to prepare a place for all of us.” A celebration of her life will be held at the Villages Chapel in the Cribari Auditorium on Dec. 17 at noon. A gathering in the Villages Fairway Room will follow.
Flowers should be directed to Cribari Auditorium, 5000 Cribari Lane, San Jose, Calif., 95135.
Donations may be made to Pathways Hospice Foundation, 201 San Antonio Circle #135, Mountain View, Calif., 94040.
