Dolce Hayes Mansion to grant 500 holiday wishes
Mansion lobby festooned with gingerbread people

Two Giving Trees set up in the Everis Arnson Parlor of the Dolce Hayes Mansion will light up the holiday season for local families in need.

| Gingerbread houses like this one created by Ms. Malmin's sixth grade class at Cedar Grove Elementary School will be auctioned off to benefit local families in need. |
With the theme of “Giving Back To The Community” this holiday season, the holiday trees, each decorated with 250 lights, represent 500 holiday wishes of underprivileged children from the Edenvale Roundtable Community Center and the Morgan Hill Unified School District Migrant Education Program.
The public is invited to pick a stocking or two from the tree and go shopping for the gift that the child has requested (with a $25 limit). Wrapped gifts must be returned prior to Dec. 21 in time for the holidays.
Cedric Fasbender, general manager says, “Dolce International culture is to be active in the community, so we are partnering with our corporate customers who are hosting holiday parties at the mansion to join us in helping get all 500 children adopted for the holidays. Each company is being invited to come to the mansion early and participate in this wonderful program that serves the needy children of our community.”
In addition, elementary school students from the Evergreen, San Jose Unified and Cupertino school districts decorated more than 900 gingerbread people and 40 schoolhouses to deck the Mansion’s lobby walls. Participating local ESD schools included Carolyn A. Clark, Cedar Grove and John J. Montgomery elementary schools.
A “silent auction” of the schoolhouses will raise money that will be matched by Dolce Hayes Mansion management and donated to a charity supporting local youth.
Nonperishable food items for the Second Harvest Food Bank may also be dropped off in the lobby.
“We welcome everyone to visit the hotel this holiday season to see the decorated gingerbread people and schoolhouses, and if they can, pick a child’s name from the Giving Trees,” said Kelly Commerford, director of sales and marketing.
“For people who help us make this holiday season bright by adopting a child from our Giving Tree, we will return the favor with a Bounce Back Coupon for 20 percent off their next visit to The Being Spa here at Dolce Hayes Mansion,” added Commerford.
