Katherine Hauge plays lead in ‘Annie Warbucks’

Evergreen resident Katherine Hauge is one of the three Annies performing in the Children’s Musical Theater Mainstage production of “Annie Warbucks”. A talented, articulate performer, Hauge is no stranger to the stage. The title role of Annie Warbucks will be shared by three local girls, including Jenny Barretto (age 11, Almaden), Shannon Haley (age 12, Almaden), and Katherine Hauge (age 10, Evergreen).

CMT opened its 40th season on Nov. 30, and will present “Annie Warbucks” through Dec. 9, 2007. All performances will be held at the Montgomery Theater, downtown San Jose (corner of Market and San Carlos streets). Tickets are now on sale, ranging from $15 - $23.

“Annie Warbucks” is directed and choreographed by CMT’s Artistic Director, Kevin R. Hauge. According to Hauge, “Annie Warbucks” embraces every bit of charm as the original Broadway hit and is the perfect way to start the holiday season for the entire family.

“Annie Warbucks” opened off-Broadway in 1993 and begins right where its original predecessor left off – on Christmas morning, 1933. Created by the same team that wrote the original Broadway hit, “Annie Warbucks” is filled with renewed optimism and charm and includes an upbeat score and production numbers to be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

CMT is proud to renew their ongoing sponsorship from the Target® Corporation. The first Saturday matinee of each 2007 – 2008 production will be a Target® Family Matinee with all prices fixed at $11. The “Annie Warbucks” Target® Family Matinee will be Saturday, Dec.1, at 2 p.m.
