Living with Lions

The Mountain Lion Foundation invites San Jose area residents to explore the biology and behavior of mountain lions and the best practices to avoid conflicts with mountain lions.

A free, fact-filled “Living with Lions” presentation will be held on Monday, Nov. 21, at 7:30 p.m. Cribari Auditorium at The Villages, located at 5000 Cribari Lane in San Jose.

All questions will be answered immediately after the presentation.

“Only with better understanding and knowledge of these magnificent creatures will people live comfortably with their neighboring lions,” says Emily Cunnison, Conservation Programs associate, who will be giving the presentation.

Take this opportunity to better understand the behavior of mountain lions and the important role they play in preserving the vibrant landscape. It is possible for communities to live comfortably with their neighboring wildlife.

By learning what may tempt a mountain lion to visit a community, these temptations can be removed—either temporarily when a lion sighting is reported or permanently. This knowledge empowers each person to make better decisions, protect their pets, and enjoy the benefits of their wild neighbors.

The Mountain Lion Foundation is a national nonprofit wildlife education and protection organization, dedicated since 1986 to Saving America’s Lion™. The Mountain Lion Foundation is a leading authority on the conservation of mountain lions and their habitat.

An RSVP is requested for this event sponsored by The Villages Hiking Club. Contact Kathy Warren at (408) 361-4608 to reserve your spot.
