AMC Theatres Eastridge 15 opens Nov. 23

Begin your long Thanksgiving weekend at San Jose’s newest theater

The long-awaited AMC Eastridge 15 will officially open its doors to the public on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 23, with a “ticket-tearing” ceremony hosted by the San Jose Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 a.m.

A red carpet event will roll out later in the afternoon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., which will include a special thank you gift for the first 200 guests who arrive. Harry Potter look-a-likes will be on hand for a meet-and-greet and pose with guests. There will also be opportunities to win exciting prizes.

To kick off the grand opening, mall shoppers who spend $100 or more at Eastridge will receive a free pair of AMC movie tickets, while supplies last. Purchases from department stores are excluded from this offer and there is a limit
of one pair of tickets per person, per day. Guests can visit Eastridge Mall’s Customer Service area for additional details and to show their proof of purchase.

The celebration will continue throughout the weekend providing moviegoers the opportunity to win prize packs, gift certificates, cash and movie-themed items. Additional festivities include:

- Friday, Nov. 25: The Filipino Youth Coalition will be providing complimentary gift wrapping to all mall customers. Gift wrapping will be available to anyone who brings either a ticket stub from the AMC Eastridge 15 or $50 in mall receipts to the gift wrapping table located outside of the theater, near the upper level Sears.

- Saturday, Nov. 26, noon to 1:30 p.m.: Local sport celebrities, Joe Blanton, pitcher for the Oakland A’s and Lance Niekro, San Francisco Giant’s first baseman, will be onsite signing autographs for their fans.

Movie guests should enter at mall entrance “E,” located between Macy’s and Sears and adjacent to the new food court. Moviegoers are encouraged to park in Parking Lot E for the most convenient access to AMC Eastridge 15.
