Windermere donates $10,000 to CityTeams’ House of Grace

Windermere Silicon Valley Properties is proud to continue its support of CityTeams through a recent contribution of $10,000.

Windermere Owners Scott and Pamela Kliewer, present a check for $10,000 to Honili Sema & Vernon Hills of City Teams for their House of Grace program.

This contribution will help fund the refurbishment of the residential units at House of Grace. House of Grace is a unique, two-year live-in program where abused, addicted or homeless women with young children can rebuild their lives. The women and their children live in apartments that are in need of new carpet and paint. Windermere owners, Scott and Pamela Kliewer, met with Honili Sema, Director of House of Grace, to establish a budget to refurbish the units, and then set out to raise funds to allow the refurbishment.

Windermere Foundation was established to help local charities. A portion of each commission generated by Windermere agents go towards the Windermere Foundation. In addition, agents and staff make discretionary contributions. As part of their internal fundraising, Windermere invited women currently enrolled in the House of Grace program to share their stories at weekly sales meetings. There were few dry eyes at the end of each presentation and agents were generous with their donations.

“We live and work in such a beautiful area it’s important to remember that people are struggling with big, real life issues,” said Scott Kliewer, owner of Windermere’s Silver Creek office. “We are currently meeting with CityTeams to determine which program we are most interested in supporting next and will soon begin our internal fundraising.”

Vernon Hills, CityTeams’ Development Director, acknowledged Windermere’s ongoing participation and said, “We are very thankful for Windermere’s continued support of CityTeams. Without the generosity of organizations like Windermere, CityTeams could not provide the crucial services to residents of Santa Clara County.”
