Who do you think will be San Jose’s next mayor and why?
(Asked at the Evergreen Branch Library)

“I normally vote Republican, but I think Cindy Chavez has some good ideas. My children will go through the election book with me, they are home schooled, and we will decide. I look for morals and values, good things for kids.”

“That’s an interesting question. I’m thinking Cindy Chavez, because of her experience. I don’t think the issue of ethics is as big as the candidates have promoted it to be. I think she will do a good job.”

“It’s very hard to tell. I think Chuck Reed will probably get more votes, although Cindy Chavez has lots of endorsements and the Democratic Party behind her.”

“I don’t know, I haven’t studied their histories yet. I know that lots of my friends said they will vote for Chuck Reed.”

“Cindy Chavez. I’ve watched the election information and she’s impressive with her speeches and she’s also done a lot to help out the Vietnamese community.”

“I don’t know who will win, but I want Cindy Chavez to win because I think she’s more in touch with what San Jose needs.”
