David Cortese speaks to Evergreen Democratic Club

David Cortese, Vice-Mayor and District 8 Councilman (pictured, right), talked to an overflow gathering of members and guests of the Evergreen Democratic Club at the Villages on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Foothill Center.

Cortese’s talk included the Evergreen Visioning Process concluded in 2007, the Sustainable Growth Limits started in 1975, the development of The Ranch starting in 1982, the rise and start of the Evergreen Times, and what is being done to find an anchor store to replace Lunardi’s at Evergreen Village Square.

As he walked to his car after his talk on the way to his daughter’s softball game, Cortese said, "It’s always a great opportunity to speak at the Villages. I started here back in 2000 when I was first running for Councilman in District 8, and I’ve always felt a great deal of connection to the Villages community."
