Share your opinions on airport shopping survey

The airport is currently conducting a shopping survey in an effort to shape the mix of eating and shopping experiences for the new North Concourse of the James M. Nissen Terminal at the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport. The survey is available online at http://www.sjc.org/ or http://survey.sanjoseca.gov/airport/ncc_survey.htm

Participate in Public Art Project/Arts Commission Meeting

The airport’s public art program is the largest in the history of the city of San Jose. This first phase funds nearly $4 million, and the total project, once the entire airport master plan is built, will be about $10 million.

The draft plan sets the framework for the program that will guide future artwork development. The proposed plan will be available for review by visiting the San Jose Public Art Web site: http://www.sanjoseculture.org/pub_art/collection.htm

Public input is welcomed and encouraged. For more information, contact Public Art Project Manager, Mary Rubin at (408) 277-2808 or mary.rubin@sanjoseca.gov

The club is also sponsoring the Evergreen Beautification project. The purpose is to get businesses in Evergreen excited about having potted garden window boxes to provide color all year round in front of their place of business.

Their club will offer advice to business owners on how to get started, what type of plants to have for their particular location, and how to maintain their potted gardens. The club is open to individuals with a passionate interest in gardening and who would like to share gardening knowledge with the group. They meet monthly at members’ home.
