Assault with a Deadly Weapon

1700 block of Tully Road
The victim was struck in the head with an unknown hard object. The victim was transported to San Jose Hospital with a non-life threatening wound. The suspect fled on foot and is unidentified/outstanding at this time.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

2549 S. King Rd. – Sun Plaza Shopping Center
An assault with a deadly weapon occurred at the above location. The victim and suspect got into an altercation over a cigarette lighter. The suspect stabbed the victim in the arm with a sharp object. The suspect fled the scene is still outstanding.

Armed Robbery / Assault with a Deadly Weapon

2500 block of Alvin Avenue
The suspect approached the elderly male victim with a handgun and demanded his money. The victim attempted to run away on foot but was tackled by the suspect. The suspect then beat the victim on the head and face with his gun. The suspect stole the victim’s wallet, containing cash and credit cards and fled on foot. The victim was taken to San Jose Hospital via ambulance for treatment on face and head lacerations. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Pursuit

1600 block of Aldrich Way
California Highway Patrol (CHP) detectives were watching a subject who had split from them two days earlier. When they attempted a vehicle stop, the subject fled in the vehicle and then on foot in the 1600 block of Aldrich Way. San Jose units assisted and found the suspect hiding at his girlfriend’s house in the 1600 block of Nickel. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and released to CHP.

Child Safety Booth

The Community Services Division attended District 8 Councilmember Dave Cortese’s annual Day in the Park, A Multicultural Festival. Two child safety officers operated a child safety booth and two other officers ran the Community Services van and booth.
