D8CRT Election for Officers

The District 8 Community Round Table will be holding its annual election for officers in the community room of the Evergreen Branch Library on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m.

The D8CRT is a coalition of local neighborhood, homeowner and business associations as well as school, sports and other activity representatives and general public membership. The goal of the D8CRT is to provide a continuity of community-to-government communication and to maintain and improve the overall quality of life in the greater District 8 area.

The D8CRT also provides an opportunity to get involved rather than simply complaining about government, without actually running for office. And the voice of many instead of the voice of one provides a greater impact.
Several of the D8CRT’s sub-committees could use your input.

Land Use Sub-Committee deals with issues involving development, parks, etc.

Education Sub-Committee deals with issues important to our area involving the schools
Safety Sub-Committee deals with issues such as sponsoring the upcoming Disaster Preparedness Workshop on November 3, traffic safety issues, etc.

Nominations for officers are open to the membership of the D8CRT. Elected officers are the president, vice president, corresponding secretary, recording secretary and treasurer as well as five positions of members-at-large.
