frequent buyer card

Evergreen Beauty Supply, conveniently located in the Evergreen Village between Cleaners4Less and Lunardi’s, provides a one-stop shopping array of beauty supplies, including shampoos, conditioners, appliances (such as ceramic irons), hair colors and makeup.

Sunyoung Park is the owner of Evergreen Beauty Supply, located in the Evergreen Village next to Lunardi’s.

Owner Sunyoung Park opened Evergreen Beauty Supply Dec. 6. She hired Janet Soh to manage the store because of her many years of experience working in beauty supply stores.

As a college student, Soh helped her mom in the family’s Saratoga beauty supply store. Before graduating from San Jose State University in 1996 with a degree in business and accounting, she became a manager at a beauty supply store in Sunnyvale.

In 2000, Soh purchased a different beauty supply store in Almaden and in 2002 purchased the Sunnyvale store where she was previously manager. Now she manages Evergreen Beauty Supply, owned by Park.

Park drawn to Evergreen
Sunyoung Park completed her studies at the University of Korea. She holds a master’s degree in clothing and textiles and a PhD from the university where she and her husband also taught.

After visiting her sister-in-law in Evergreen one summer, Sunyoung was captivated by the area and decided to move here in 2003. Though her husband still teaches in Korea, Park’s children live and go to school here.

Taekyu is 12, and Brian is nine years old. They both attend Tom Matsumoto Elementary School. Taekyu plays the violin and loves competing in all types of sports, including baseball, basketball and football. Brian wants to learn how to play the piano and likes to play baseball.

“My first goal is being a good mother, and my second is to be a successful business woman. I always did my best in Korea, now I will do my best in the U.S.,” says Park.

One-Stop Shopping
Since Soh owns other beauty supply stores, she offers customers at Evergreen Beauty Supply a one-stop shopping
guarantee. If a product cannot be found, then it will be shipped from her Almaden or Sunnyvale store.

One-stop shopping allows customers to find whatever beauty product they’re looking for, without having to travel to a beauty supply store outside of Evergreen.

Michelle’s Nails
Another small business leases a station inside Evergreen Beauty Supply. Michelle’s Nails offers manicures, pedicures and waxing services. Busy customers can buy their favorite beauty products and then receive an express manicure for $15.

Frequent Buyers Card
Another quality that makes the Evergreen Beauty Supply store different from similar stores is a discount card called the Frequent Buyers Points Card.

After customers pay for their items, the store punches the dollar amount of their purchases out on the discount card. When the dollar amount numbers on the card are all punched out, the customer receives $10 off a future purchase.

Evergreen Beauty Supply is located at 4055 Evergreen Village Square, Suite #130, (408)-238-4679. Open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and 12 – 6 p.m. on Sundays. Senior discounts EVERY Tuesday.

Janet Soh manages Evergreen Beauty Supply for owner Sunyoung Park.
