What are your thoughts about a judge giving custody of Britany Spears’ sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline? Why do you think Spears is acting the way she does? (Asked at the Lucky’s parking lot at Aborn and White)

“I think she’s got a drug and alcohol problem and I don’t she’s doing anything or can’t do anything about it. I feel like lots of people depended on her for money and the pressure just got to her. I don’t know if he’s any better [than she is]. I think he wants the kids so she will provide him with child support. The real losers are the children.”

“Based on the information from the media, it’s probably the right thing to do to give custody to the dad. But I’m not sure if the media’s portrayal is correct. I think for now, the children’s best interests are with the father, but he’s a piece of work too. I think her problems stem from the fact that she didn’t have a childhood. She’s been performing since she was a young girl and it’s finally coming to roost as far as mental illness.”

“First of all, she’s bipolar; it’s a sickness. I think that custody with the father is best for the children right now, they are safer with the father.”

“I think she’s going through a tough time right now. I don’t think he should have full custody because of what he did to his former children; he deserted them."

“I think she’s had too much fame too quickly at too young of an age, and she doesn’t know how to handle that fame. It’s too much for her to handle at such a young age. I don’t know if giving him the children was the right thing to do. They should be with family, but I don’t know if he’s any better than she would be.”

“She’s probably addicted to drugs and has mental problems maybe related to post-partum depression. Couple that with all her stress and problems and it’s a vicious circle. I’m glad she got visitation on a temporary basis, I hope the custody is on a temporary basis and if she gets help she can get the children back.”
