District 8 Campaign Kickoff Events

Pat Waite is surrounded by supporters at his campaign kickoff event held at Welsh Park near Eastridge.

District 8 City Council campaigns for both Pat Waite and Rose Herrera were both recently attended by nearly 100 people. Pat’s event was held at Welsh Park (see photo) and Rose’s event was held at Village Square (see photo below).

A diverse group of well-wishers showed up for events. Waite’s party included hot dogs (courtesy of Mandy’s Korner) drinks, face painting, and balloons.

Herrera’s event included a canned food drive for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Food and drinks were provided by Java Junction and Burrito Azteca. Speaking at the event were former District 8 councilperson Pat Saucedo, Evergreen School Board President Sylvia Alvarez, San Jose City Commissioner Minh Duong, and Second Harvest Food Bank community coordinator Michelle Wall.
