Sun Jose Hawaii, the exclusive Hawaii shopping destination for all island visitors and lovers, is now located at Eastridge’s Lower Level near Sears. Sun Jose Hawaii gives its customers a little taste of Hawaii and features Hawaiian and Polynesian music CDs, DVDs, fabrics, island scented lotion and perfume, accessories, books, aloha shirts, snacks, and other fine goods from the islands. Sun Jose Hawaii is a perfect source for Hawaiian items for luau and party celebration.
Established in 1988 by the Parugao family, Sun Jose Hawaii was first opened on Capitol Expressway. After 17 years of operation at its initial location, the store moved to Eastridge, joining the mall’s complete renovation. The family owned and operated retail store is the Bay Area’s leading source for authentic and high quality Hawaiian and Polynesian-related products at reasonable prices. The store is also active in Polynesian events throughout California.

“Our goal at Sun Jose Hawaii is to spread the ‘Spirit of the Islands’ to all our guests. Our store provides a friendly and laid back atmosphere where guests would always feel at home,” said Bobby Parugao, Vice President of Marketing for Sun Jose Hawaii.
Some of the store’s favorite finds include “Mahalo for removing your shoes” Hawaiian ceramic tiles by Kauai’s Joanna Carolan. The original tiles can be found in Banana Patch Studio in Hanapepe, Kauai.
The store features popular hard cover books, such as the Plumeria Princess and Tutu’s Magic Ukulele, written by Cathy East Dubowski and illustrated by Don Robinson – a fun read for children of all ages. It’s a wonderfully written story of a treasured ukulele that shy Plumeria planned to play in her singing debut at a song festival, but the ukulele suddenly was missing. Plumeria then discovered her voice as a beautiful gift she had all along.
Other items available are Royal Hawaiian Perfumes, including deep tanning Pure Coconut Oil, RH Pikake Jasmine body lotion and cologne to help celebrate the classic scent of a romantic island encounter.
Bright Hawaiian fabrics in red and aqua floral prints, green patterns, and lilac floral styles are available for any craft lovers. All fabrics are 50 percent polyester and 50 percent cotton blend, and about 44 to 45 inches wide.
