District 8 Community Round Table logo contest for local youth

The District 8 Community Round Table (D8CRT) is sponsoring a contest to design the new logo for the Round Table.

The contest is open to children, ages 0-18, residing in San Jose’s District 8 boundaries. Besides making yourself famous, the designer of the selected logo will also win a $100 American Express Gift Card.

Contest Rules
The logo must be your original creation. By submitting a logo, you turn over all copyright and licensing rights to the D8CRT. Deadline for artwork submission is September 30, 2007 (must be received by this date).

Logo guidelines
Should contain the acronym "D8CRT" (May have text equivalent "District 8 Community Round Table”). Should work well on a light or dark background. NOTE: The D8CRT reserves the right to modify the winning design to provide final detail enhancements.

Selection Criteria
Enter as many times as you like. Entries will be judged on adherence to guidelines, aesthetic appeal, distinctiveness / logo recognition, and support of the mission of the D8CRT.

Judgment
Preliminary selection of the entries to five finalists will be by the D8CRT Steering Committee. These five entries will be presented to the general membership for a vote at the October meeting, scheduled for October 9, 2007. The meetings are held in the Community Room at the Evergreen Branch of the Library on Aborn Road, starting at 7:00 p.m. NOTE: The D8CRT reserves the right to re-hold the contest if no entries meeting criteria are received.

Interested parties may also drop off entries at the Information Desk of the Evergreen Branch Library.
