Eastridge caters to important teen consumer
Eastridge recently rolled out “The Scene” for its teenage patrons to showcase entertainment and lifestyle activities for today’s teens.
The Scene, now in its sixth year, brought Eastridge together with Pepsi for an award-winning, back-to-school event. A free registration enabled teens to participate in a variety of activities and games to win prizes, including iPod minis, cell phones, compact discs, concert tickets, movie previews, gift cards and more.
Teens tried their hand at the Pepsi Prize Wheel and the Wild 94.9 radio station’s “Where’s my balls?” guessing game. Airbrush tattoos and extreme balloon hats satisfied the younger set.
And John Robert Powers provided the young talent, like Evergreen resident Melanie, to model the hottest fall styles from Anchor Blue, Hot Topic, Papaya and Foot Locker.
Morning drive disc jockey, “Strawberry” from KYLD-FM rounded out the activities with his “Yes” game, egging on contestants like Evergreen resident Missy Horton to say yes in a conversation—who would lose the game if she let a yes slip out.
Evergreen Valley High School freshman Crystal Widjaja, who attended the event, said that the interior of the mall provides a better selection of stores than before. “Now we can go here instead of the Great Mall,” she added.
Eastridge is located at 2200 Eastridge Loop, San Jose, Calif., 95122, near Capitol Expressway and Tully Road. For more information, call (408) 238-3600 or go to the Web site: www.eastridgecenter.com.
