Walk ‘N Wag proves success

The Humane Society of Silicon Valley held its fourth annual Walk ‘N Wag fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 19 at San Jose’s Kelley Park. It was a “barking success,” noted officials with hundreds of dogs and their human com-panions walking to raise over $60,000 for the shelter’s animals. Participants paid $25 each to walk an interactive course with their dogs. Many walkers solicited pledges to help raise additional money for the shelter. Canines and their companions enjoyed everything from a doggie spa to costume contests, a Zoo to You animal wildlife presentation and bobbing for veggie dogs.
