Movie Night draws huge crowd
The vision of Evergreen Village Square becoming a community meeting place is becoming a reality. Nearly a thousand people gather last Thursday evening to enjoy the music of David Ladd's Downtown Allstars and a movie under the stars. The jam-packed Square was the venue for the first-ever outdoor movie night in the area as the families watched Nim’s Island.
The evening was a tremendous success. The sponsors, Involved Evergreen and the Evergreen Village Square Business Owners Association, were very pleased. They hope it is the beginning of a tradition. The city of San Jose supported the event with a Community Action and Pride grant.
