Story times return to library after summer break
By Joy Kim
Special to the Times
Summer is almost over, and it’s time to turn our thoughts back from vacation to school. We hope you enjoyed the Summer Reading Celebration as much as we did. Here’s a special thank you for all the volunteers who helped us make the SRC so successful.
This year Labor Day falls on Monday, Sept. 1, and Evergreen Library will be closed on the holiday. Visit us during our regular hours before then to find books that will help you celebrate the end of summer in style. Browse the cookbooks for barbecue and grilling tips, or check out some party-planning books for ideas on decorations and kid-friendly activities and games.
September also marks the return of story times at Evergreen Library after our August break. We offer several story times during the week so you’ll be able to find one perfect for your child. Our three morning story times are tailored to the developmental needs of specific age groups (Wednesdays, 11:30, for ages 2 and under; Fridays, 11:30, for ages 2-3; Tuesdays, 11:30 for ages 3-5), while our Wednesday evening story time is for the whole family. Each of our morning story times is also followed by a Stay and Play. We’ll put out a selection of toys, and you’ll have the chance talk with other parents and caregivers while your kids play. We hope to see you there!
