Kudos for the Bellous

The Honorable Joe Coto, representing California's 23rd Assembly District, presented an Assembly Resolution to Bill and Sandy Bellou, recognizing them for their journalistic achievement over the past 25 years. The resolution noted their efforts in "fostering a better understanding in the Evergreen community through intelligent, perceptive, and first rate public information."

The resolution recapped the major events in the history of the Evergreen Times and the lives of the newspaper's leaders. As the founders of Times Media, Inc, Bill Bellou serves as the CEO and publisher and Sandy Bellou as the chief financial officer.

The Evergreen Times is one of the largest community newspapers in the United States, and, with the Almaden Times, the only full-color community newspapers. A leader in publishing technology, the Evergreen Times was one of the first newspapers to be published digitally and available on the Internet.

The Bellous are committed to community service through support via publicity in the newspapers and personal involvement. Assemblyman Coto commended their significant contributions to the people of the Evergreen community and extended sincere wishes for continued success.
