Evergreen Area Police report
San Jose Police Department gets nearly 1500 calls per day for assistance. Not all calls get listed on the Police Blotter Report that the Evergreen Times publishes. For example, an Evergreen resident reported that on Aug. 13 his vehicle parked at Evergreen Valley High School was broken into and a purse stolen. Residents may report any crimes directly to us so that we more fully inform our readers.

Parole Search
2600 Block of Gumdrop Drive
Upon completion of follow-up investigation of a burglary call, Officer was able to identify a suspect. The suspect was arrested without incident and booked on charges of burglary and parole violation.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon on an Officer
Heritage Valley Rd/Aborn Rd
An assault with a deadly weapon, felony evading and resisting arrest incident occurred at the above location. The suspect rammed police vehicle when an attempt to stop the vehicle for reckless driving. The driver fled in the vehicle and later collided with a parked vehicle at the dead end of Aborn Road. Officer assisted and attempted to block the path of the vehicle to keep it from fleeing again. The suspect rammed Officer and was stopped. The suspect was taken into custody after a brief struggle. There were no officers injured due to the collision. There was moderate damage to the police vehicles. The suspect was booked into jail for the above charges.

Probation Search
2000 Block of Flagstad Court
Officers contacted the probationer’s brother during a protective sweep of the residence. The brother became combative with officers and a struggle ensued. The taser was utilized to overcome the suspect’s resistance and effect the arrest. The suspect was then taken into custody, medically cleared at a local hospital and booked into jail.

Shots Fired/Homicide
King/Flannigan
SJPD Officers responded to the area of King and Flannigan on the report of shots fired in the area. Upon our arrival we located two shooting victims. One was deceased at the scene. The second victim suffered non-life-threatening wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and later released.

Assault with A Deadly Weapon
Remington Way at Windwood Way
The victim was riding a bicycle when he was shot by a person in a vehicle that had been following him. The vehicle fled the scene and was not located. The victim sustained serious wounds but is expected to survive.

Under the Influence/Violation of Parole
2800 Block of Cicero
Officer arrested a parolee for under the influence of a controlled substance and violation of parole. The suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County main jail.

Officer arrested a parolee loitering in the area of Quimby Road and White Road for a violation of his parole.

Armed Robbery
4800 Block of San Felipe
Officers responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred inside the McDonald’s Restaurant. Officer Padia spotted the subject vehicle leaving the area. A felony vehicle stop was conducted on northbound 280. Three suspects were taken into custody. Weapons and cash were recovered. Day Detectives responded to the scene. Three suspects were booked for armed robbery.

Alvin Avenue / Flanigan Drive
The victim reported that three subjects entered his hotel room and demanded money. The subjects hit the victim causing moderate injuries. The subjects fled and were not located.
