Adriana Andal as Sybil and Katherine Hauge as Minerva play the magical fairies that keep watch over the beautiful princess Milisande. Other Evergreen residents appearing in the production in supporting roles include Victoria Butsky, Nicolas Cabarloc, Kyle Dela Cruz, Jessica Dunford, Daniel Gomez, Stacey Hester, Adrienne Ly, Rachna Mandalam, Amanda Quon, Jennifer Sherwood and Kevina Xiao.
Commissioned by the Prince Street Players, this version of “Sleeping Beauty” is sure to cast its charm on all who attend. The fairytale musical follows a well-known story line of the Princess Milisande, cursed at birth, to prick her finger on her 16th birthday and fall into an everlasting sleep.
Sleeping Beauty features a large cast of 6- to 9-year-old performers, the youngest performers at Children’s Musical Theater San Jose.
“It is uplifting to work with such young performers, many of whom are stepping onto a stage for the very first time,” says director Amanda Silber Levitt. “Despite their age, talent abounds among these young stars—and their enthusiasm is infectious.”
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under. For the special Target-sponsored family matinee performance on Saturday, Aug. 13 at noon, all tickets are $7.25.
For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the CMTSJ Web site at www.cmtsj.org or phone the CMT Box Office at (408) 288-5437. Tickets may also be purchased at the Montgomery Theater one hour prior to performances.
