In an effort to publicize the nation’s economic crisis, I. O. U. S. A., a documentary produced by Addison Wiggin, will premier on Aug. 21 at select theatres. The documentary will tell the story of America’s four key deficits - budget, savings, balance of payments and leadership - and their implications for the nation and U. S. citizens.
Following the film, a one-night-only, 45-minute live panel discussion with America’s top financial leaders and policy experts Warren Buffett, Pete Peterson and Dave Walker will be simulcast from Omaha, Nebraska. This “town hall” discussion at the theatres aims at starting a national dialogue on what citizens can do to dig the nation out of its alarming debt.
Participating theatres include Daly City 20, Milpitas Great Mall 20, Mountain View Cinema 16, Century 20 in Redwood City, AMC Eastridge Mall 15, San Jose Oakridge 20, San Rafael Northgate 15, and Walnut Creek 14. The creators of I. O. U. S. A. are giving away free tickets and urging media outlets to help promote the film to audiences over the country.
