Clean, Green Evergreen
By Mike Alvarado
Special to the Times
The meeting held July 30 featured two topics. First, detailed information was shared about the proposed Solar Showcase to be held at this year’s District 8 Day in the Park. Much good feedback was provided the planners.
The second topic concerned the current review of volume purchase of solar system proposals. Six vendors have given options for Evergreen residents. A panel of residents lead by Vincent Tang is reviewing the information. The panel will issue a report with their findings at 7 p.m., Aug. 12, at the District 8 Com-munity Roundtable. Questions about the findings may be asked that evening. Electronic posting to several websites will also occur.
On Aug. 20, at 7 p.m., there will be an opportunity for informal dialogue between the vendors proposing volume purchasing options and Ever-green residents. We invite both parties to spend a couple of hours together deepening each other’s knowledge, thus ensuring a good working relationship is built and clarifications can be made.
Residents may visit multiple vendors if they wish. Vendors will benefit by gaining insight into Evergreen’s needs and the area’s business potential.
