Fashion show coverage raises awareness of
Support Network for Battered Women

Dear Editor,
We wish to thank you so much for the wonderful coverage on the fashion show sponsored by the Silver Creek Valley Country Club Women’s Club. The article in the July 2-15 edition was so much more than we expected.

We are all thrilled and proud that we were able to show the community how we raised funds for the Support Network for Battered Women. It brought more attention than we could have hoped for to this worthy cause.

Sikh community thanks Evergreen for
attending July 4 ice cream social

Dear Editor,
Thank you for letting the Evergreen community know about our July 4 ice cream social held at the Sikh Gurdwara. We hope to continue this tradition every year.

We enjoyed meeting our neighbors and showing them around the temple and the grounds. Many stayed for dinner and had ice cream for dessert. They shared stories of how the Evergreen area looked in the past before all the homes covered the hills, and they appreciated being able to walk on our grounds with their kids and their dogs.

I also want to thank Chief of Police Rob Davis and Captain Diane Urban for paying close attention to our district and working closely with me to take care of our needs in the community.
