The new Batman movie, “The Dark Knight” open last week and broke several box office records. It’s also generated a lot of talk. Have you seen the movie? Asked at the stores near Evergreen Valley College
“No, but I plan to see it. I’m a fan of Batman. I also want to see it because it’s Heath Ledger’s last movie.”
Julie Nunez, 17

“I have seen it. I saw it at midnight the first night. It was a really good movie and Heath Ledger, I’m also a fan of his, was definitely good. He was better than Jack Nicholson’s version of the Joker.”
Annysa Carrejo, 17
San Jose
Student at Andrew Hill
“Yes, I saw it yesterday. It was great, definitely a 10 out of 10. Two characters really stood out 2 Face and the Joker. Heath Ledger was great too, he did a great job, may he rest in peace.”
Mike Zamora, 22

Student, Evergreen Valley College and San Jose State
“Yes, I saw it last night. It was long, but it was good. My favorite part was the Joker because he was really scary. He looked like a man possessed.”
Joanne Rullan, 20

“I have not seen it. I think I’m the last person who hasn’t seen it. I’m going to try to go tonight. I love the Batman movies and I’m excited to see it.”
Daniel Katz, 27

“I have seen it and I loved it; it was great. I’m a big comic fan. Heath Ledger played the Joker role better than Jack Nicholson. He changed the way people see the Joker. He actually made people laugh. However, it’s not a movie for young kids; the graphics are really gritting, it’s a dark movie.”
David Nguyen, 27

Financial analyst at Hitachi
“I just saw it with my two sons. It was great—a little too long though; it could have ended after the first ending. Heath Ledger was hard to look at [in his makeup] but he was really good in the role.”
Leslie Schafer, 46
Evergreen
Seventh grade science teacher, Chaboya Middle School
“I have not seen it, but I’ve read a lot about it. I will probably wait until it’s on pay-per-view because my children [ages 3 to 12] are too young. I grew up with Batman and I’m interested in the overall thing that is Batman.
