A cool way to help burn victims

Support the San Jose Firefighters Burn on Sunday, July 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The San Jose Firefighters Burn Foundation, with Santa Clara Valley Medical Regional Burn Center, assists survivors and families by supplying clothing, a place to sleep, toys for kids and help in rebuilding their lives. The Foundation helps the thousands of burn victims each year and has produced innovations used throughout California and the world.

Dr. Stephen Yao is sponsoring the event to express his thanks with his annual patient appreciation day. Last year, Dr. Yao’s Braces for Pretty Faces program raised nearly $3,000 and he hopes to double that this year.

San Jose firefighters and the “Sharkie” fire truck will greet visitors to the park and let the kids take pictures.
