Grace Lutheran Church Rib & Chili Cook-off Saturday, July 30
If friends and family rave about your chili or ribs, you're invited to enter the Rib & Chili Cook-off to be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 30, beginning at 10 a.m.
Chili may be prepared at home and brought to the church before 10 a.m. on July 30. The cook-off entry fee for chili is
$10 and chili tasting will occur at 10 a.m.
Ribs will be supplied to the chefs on the morning of the cook-off and must be cooked on site. The cook-off entry fee for ribs is $15 and rib tasting will be at 1 p.m.
Evergreen residents are welcome to attend, free of charge, for tasting, music, games and jumpers for the kids. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
Grace Lutheran Church is located at 2650 Aborn Road at Kettmann Avenue, across from the Evergreen Branch Library under construction. For more information, call Grace Lutheran Church at (408) 274-1200.

Sikh community invites neighbors to ice cream social
The Sikh community invites its neighbors to an Independence Day ice cream social at the temple site, 3636 Murillo Ave. just off of Quimby Road, bet-ween 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on July 4.
