Officer Involved Vehicle Accident, Non-Injury
Aborn Road/San Felipe Road
An officer was traveling eastbound on Aborn when his marked unit was struck by a tow truck. The car sustained moderate left side damage. The driver of the tow truck was issued a citation for unsafe turn. There were no injuries.

Stabbing
3000 block of Oliver
A stabbing occurred at the above location at about 1:12 a.m. There were three victims, two females and one male. The stabbing occurred when approximately five persons were turned away from a party at this location and a fight broke out. At least one of the five people was responsible for stabbing the three victims before fleeing the scene in a minivan. All suspects are currently outstanding and a follow up investigation is being conducted. The victims were in stable condition and transported to Valley Medical Center.

Selective Enforcement
Capitol Expressway/Tully Road
Team 62 and Team 64 officers coordinated their efforts to enforce vehicle code violations in the area of In-and-Out Burger. An officer in plain clothes and an unmarked car identified the violators. Two subjects were cited for reckless driving in the Albertson’s parking lot. The subjects were burning rubber in the lot.

Dispatch of Injured Animal
3600 block Westview Drive
Animal Control requested police at the scene of an injured animal. An officer dispatched the deer with one shot.

Basic Spanish training for officers
The SJPD began training tactical Spanish to newly hired lateral officers and officers graduating from the police academy. This is the first police training of its type in San Jose where all recruit and lateral officers will be trained in basic Spanish. Lt. Eric Sills and Sgt. Edgardo Garcia developed the class.

Attempted Murder/Stabbing
2900 block of Almond Drive
Officers responded to a disturbance call at the above location. Officers arrived on-scene and separated several subjects. While on-scene, officers were notified of a stabbing victim who had been dropped off at Regional Hospital by family members. Officers learned that the two events were related and that two brothers had been involved in an altercation. The 16 year-old suspect stabbed his 20 year-old brother twice in the abdomen. The victim’s injuries were listed as life threatening. The suspect was taken into custody. Officers were later told that the victim would survive his injuries. The suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall on attempted murder charges. The case is under investigation.
Two women arrested and booked for pimping
After receiving several complaints about alleged prostitution at 147 S. King Road, the San Jose Police Department’s Vice Unit conducted an undercover investigation and determined that prostitution was occurring at this residence.
At about 6 p.m. on June 2, the Vice Unit and officers from the Metro Unit served a warrant at 147 S. King Road and arrested seven of the women located inside the address.
The preliminary investigation shows this was an organized house of prostitution. Joanne Vy, 55 and Thu Thi Vy, 39, were arrested for pimping, conspiracy and keeping or residing in a “house of ill fame.” The five other women in the house were cited and released for solicitation for prostitution and/or keeping or residing in a “house of ill fame.”
