Evergreen Area Police report
Weekend warrant sweep arrests 25 for lack of child support
On Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, the Office of the Sheriff conducted a warrant sweep, using Child Social Services civil warrants. These are warrants issued for subjects who have not paid child support.
Saturday’s work focused on a total of 87 warrants, using eight teams of two deputies. A total of 15 warrant arrests were made. On Sunday, the Sheriff’s Office worked a total of 84 warrants using six teams of two deputies. A total of 10 warrant arrests were made.
Overall, a grand total of 171 warrant service attempts were made for both days, which resulted in 25 arrests for failure to pay child support.
