May 29
Armed Robbery
2900 Block of E. Capitol Expressway
Two suspects wearing masks, entered the rear of the above business and made several employees lay on the floor at gun point. The suspects then took items and cash. Both suspects fled and are not in custody.
May 31
Homicide
2800 S. White Road
San Jose Police Officers were dispatched to Ernie’s Liquors in 2800 Block of S. White Rd to reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the victim. Richard Arechiga, 21, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Victim #2 was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
No suspects have been identified. Investigators are trying to determine a motive for this case.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Capitol Expressway / Silver Creek Road
A female driver ran a red light and caused a traffic collision. As a result of her act, a pedestrian crossing the street was also struck. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The female driver was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
June 8
Strong Armed Robbery
3000 Block of Silver Creek Road
The suspect forcibly took the victims purse and fled westbound on Aborn Road. A witness chased the suspect but lost him a short distance away. The victim was not injured. The suspect was not apprehended.
June 10
Attempted Carjacking, Person Shot
1600 Block of E. Capitol Expressway
The victim was approached by two males who demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim tossed his keys away from his vehicle and was then shot by one of the suspects. The victim sustained non-life threatening wounds. The suspects fled and have not been located.
June 11
Assault with a Deadly Weapon
1600 Block of Nickel Avenue
Three suspects approached the victim’s residence. The suspects then forced their way into the victim’s residence and began fighting. The suspects used a wooden and metal object and a sharp object to cause non-life threatening injuries to three victims. The suspects fled on foot. District Paul units located one subject approximately three blocks away. He was detained and positively identified. He was booked into jail. The other two suspects are outstanding.
