Injured animal/firearms discharge
San Felipe Road/Farnsworth Drive
A witness reported an injured deer that may have been hit by a vehicle. Officers arrived and found the deer in the wooded area east of San Felipe. The deer had a broken right front leg and was humanely dispatched with a single shot by an officer. Animal Control removed the animal.

use of force
Ocala Avenue/Ridgemont Drive
A suspect fled from the officer following a car stop, and a perimeter was set in the area for the suspect. The suspect was found hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence. The suspect refused to comply with the police order to come out from hiding. Taser was deployed, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was booked into county jail for the listed charges.

Major injury hit-and-run
Tully Road/South King Road
The suspect fled the scene on foot after the traffic collision. Both of the victims were transported to local hospitals. One of the victims sustained a serious injury. Follow up investigation lead to the arrest of the suspect at his residence. The suspect was booked into jail for felony hit-and-run.

Strong arm robbery
Marten Avenue/Mt. Kenya Drive
The adult male victim was accosted while riding a scooter at the above location. He was thrown to the ground and sustained a non-life threatening head wound. He was then transported to the hospital. The suspect fled on the victim’s scooter. The suspect is unknown and outstanding at this time.

Coroner’s case
1600 block of Enesco Avenue
A wife found her 72 year-old husband on the floor. The longtime cancer patient died of apparent natural causes, and the coroner was notified.

Assault/mayhem
3300 block of San Felipe Road
An argument ensued between two individuals. The suspect bit the tip of the victim’s finger off. The victim was transported to San Jose Emergency Room for treatment. The suspect was located at his residence and placed into custody.

Assault with a deadly weapon
Tully/Capitol Starbucks Parking Lot
The victim was attacked from behind with a large knife. The suspect fled on foot and is outstanding. The victim sustained numerous deep cuts to the head and back. The victim is in stable condition at Regional Hospital.

Stabbing
1600 block of Enseco Avenue
A physical fight between several individuals occurred in the street where a party was being held. Two victims received stab wounds, neither were life threatening. Two or three suspects are outstanding, although a possible suspect was taken into custody for an unrelated probation violation. The incident is still under investigation.

3400 block of Woodtree Court
A 43 year-old male was found deceased in his room. There were no signs of forced entry or foul play, and the coroner was notified.

Domestic violence
2600 block of Paganini
Officers responded to a report of domestic violence. The 19 year-old suspect had beaten his 15 year-old pregnant girlfriend and then fled on foot before police arrival. Officers tracked him to Eastridge Mall and arrested him inside Sears without incident. The victim told officers she had been hit, kicked and sexually assaulted. The Sexual Assault Investigative Unit (SAIU) was notified and the suspect was booked. The victim did not require medical assistance.

Domestic violence/assault with a deadly weapon
2000 block of Othello Avenue
A 44 year-old female suspect physically assaulted her 41 year-old male boyfriend. His injuries, including a laceration on his left hand, were minor and non-life threatening. He was transported to the ER at San Jose Medical Center for treatment. The suspect was arrested and booked into SCC Jail.

Assault with a deadly weapon
3400 block of Saba Drive
A 22-year-old came to the front door of a residence while holding a 32-inch sword and punched the subject in the face, causing a physical fight. The subject removed the sword from the sheath and slashed his right palm. The male with the sword was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. The suspect was booked and is pending warrants.

Criminal threat/domestic violence, child endangerment, discharging of a firearm
1500 block of Staghorn Lane
A victim called the police and reported that her husband shot at a phone in attempt to scare her following an argument. The responding units stopped the suspect, as he was about to leave the residence. A .45 caliber handgun was seized from the residence. The suspect was booked into county jail for the above charges.

2900 block of Fairfax
The victim returned to her home just 30 minutes after leaving it to find her house broken into and items missing. It appears as though the suspects watched the homeowner leave.

CYA Parole Assist
2500 block of Buckhill Court
California Youth Authority parole agents requested assistance on an attempt to locate (ATL) at the above location. The suspect successfully fled after seeing the agents approach. An officer attempted to stop the suspect with a taser, but missed due to the suspect’s fast movement.

Hit and Run / False Report of a Crime
2600 block of S. King Road
The suspect crashed his vehicle into a parked car and fled on foot. Later he called police to report that his car had been taken in a carjacking. Upon questioning by investigating officers, the suspect admitted that he made the false report. The suspect was arrested and booked.
