Get on the bus, Gus
Two buses will leave Eastridge Mall in front of Red Robin at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 21. Let Sacramento know your concern about budget cuts to education.
For six years, vice mayor Dave Cortese has chartered a bus each spring to take residents, educators and concerned community members to Sacramento to lobby our State legislators against dramatic cuts to education. The Silicon Valley Education Foundation has joined to support this effort.
This trip is FREE and seats are filling up fast, so don't forget to reserve yours. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Buses will return at approximately 6:00 p.m. To make a reservation or get more information, please contact Michelle Pelayo in at (408) 535-4908 or michelle.pelayo@sanjoseca.gov.
Appointments have already been scheduled with Senator Elaine Alquist, Senator Ira Ruskin, Senator Abel Maldonado, Assembly Member Joe Coto, Assembly Member Sally Lieber, Assemly Member Anna Caballero and Assembly Member Jim Beall. |
