Narcotic Influence, Resisting Arrest

Quimby Road at Ruby Avenue
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Quimby Road at Ruby Avenue. The reporting party said the suspect was out of the car running around naked. Upon arrival, an officer located the suspect outside the vehicle naked and running around in the street. The suspect advanced on the officer when he was ordered to lie down. The officer deployed his taser. While officers attempted to handcuff the suspect, the suspect was able to pick up a baton that had fallen on the ground and attempted to hit an officer. Officers grabbed the baton and were able to wrestle the suspect to the ground. The suspect displayed symptoms of narcotic influence and the WRAP had to be deployed. The suspect was arrested and transported to the hospital by ambulance.

May 4
Assault with a Deadly Weapon

2900 Block of Wycliffe Court
At 2034 hours, District Lincoln units received a shots-fired call from the 1300 block of Tamilee Drive. The reporting party reported a person was shot. Units were unable to locate the victim or suspects. At 2100 hours, the mother of the 14-year-old victim picked him and a cousin up on the 1300 block of Tamilee Drive. Once home, she learned her son was shot. District Paul units responded and the victim was transported to a local hospital. No calls were received from this location. The incident remains under investigation.

May 8
Under the Influence of PCP, Resisting Arrest and Taser Deployment

2600 Block of Vista Verde
The suspect called 911 while being under the influence. The suspect’s mother was in the residence and told dispatch the suspect had a knife and was under the influence of drugs. Officers arrived and located the suspect in front of his residence. Although he no longer had a knife, the suspect refused to comply with officer’s directions. He was subdued with the taser then transported to the hospital. Further investigation revealed the suspect had also ingested an unknown amount prescription medication and was being treated for unknown mental illness.

May 13
Coroner's Case

1600 Block of Bowling Green
A 28-year-old male was found non-responsive by his live-in aunt. San Jose Fire Personnel arrived and pronounced him dead. The victim had a number of medical conditions for which he was currently being treated. No obvious signs of foul play were noted. The Coroner responded and took possession of the body.
