Republican Club at the Villages holds mayoral forum
On Monday, April 24, the Republican Club at the Villages held a Mayoral Forum for all interested Villagers, regardless of their political affiliation, to become acquainted with the candidates for Mayor, hear their platforms, concerns and solutions as well as talk with them one-on-one.

Candidates attending were David Cortese, Michael Mulcahy, David Pandori and Chuck Reed, with former councilwoman Lu Ryden moderating. Cindy Chavez declined to participate.
Over 250 residents attended the forum. Many were very impressed with what each had to say. However, it did make it difficult for some to make up their minds.
"I came here with my mind made up but now I'm not sure," one attendee said. "They all sounded good.” Candidates fielded questions from the audience during the last half of the presentation that ranged from immigration, Evergreen development, City budget, the City's priorities and its responsibility to the residents of San Jose. Information from all the attending candidates was freely available. |
