Festival of cultures celebration at Evergreen Valley College
Evergreen Valley College celebrated its 30-year anniversary with a host of events from April 24 through May 5. Among the events was the Festival of Cultures, held April 29 in front of the school’s new library. The event, which was open to the public, saw performances from the school’s numerous clubs, as well as outside multicultural performers.
In addition, EVC also held a Cinco de Mayo celebration, sponsored by the Enlace Student Association, on May 3 to celebrate the historical significance of the Battle of Puebla. Other events included poetry readings by Rosanna Higashi as well as a standup comedy performance by Vietnamese comic Dat Phan.
