The primary election for county supervisor and the District 8 San Jose City Council seat will be held June 3. Will you vote by mail, at the polls or not at all? Why did you choose this option?
Asked at the center at White and San Felipe Roads

“I will vote by mail because it’s more convenient. I can do it at home and not rush; it gives me time to read over the proposals. It also saves gas, with gas prices so high.”

“I’ll vote at the polls. It’s just traditional. I like going to the polls.

“I will vote at the polls. I like the process and I like my kids to see the process. Voting is the responsibility of good citizens.”

Kassie Goldsmith, 44

“I will vote by mail. I just signed up to vote by mail because it’s easier with my children who are age 3 and 18 months.”

Michelle Paulson, 30

“I just moved here from Boston and don’t have my California drivers license yet, but I hope to register before the deadline. If I get to vote at all, I will go to the polls. I like the interaction and the feeling of participation I get by going to the polls. It’s electric and you get to see all the passion people have for ballot issues and the candidates. I feel its part of the election process.”

“By mail because it just saves me time and it’s more convenient. I have children and I work. If I vote by mail, I can do it at night. It’s really hard for a working mother to get to the polls.”
