A vibrant group of 84 attended the March 28 Republican Club Meeting at the Fairways Room where the Clubhouse staff did another great job with dinner and serving.

Shirley Ritzheimer, president, welcomed all in attendance and Lu Ryden, Co-Program Director, introduced the guest speakers: Deputy District Attorney, Jim Shore and Judge Dolores Carr, both candidates for the office of Santa Clara District Attorney.

The candidates spoke interestingly about their fields of experience and backgrounds, as well as crime and punishment procedures and crime deterrents, the needs of all citizens to be protected and to be pro-active, and commitment necessary to making our county safe.

A lively question and answer period followed. Those in attendance had the opportunity to meet and visit with Judge Carr and Deputy D.A. Shore, who were very amiable and who were very impressed by our vivacious group of Villagers.
