Be careful out there

Editor,
I had no idea how many deaths and injuries occur on our streets, but with everyone racing around while talking on their phones and/or texting, I am surprised that more people are not dead.

I walk and bike in this area. Its great to do so but do so at your own risk it seems and I have a problem with that.
This morning I went to the site of the latest death to occur, at Nieman and Capital Expressway. I couldn't see any signs of the accident there, but the person hit later died at the hospital.

I am concerned for anyone who walks/bikes or just out trying to enjoy the Evergreen area.
