March 9
Armed robbery

Linear Park, Yerba Buena/Highway 101
At approximately 11:53 p.m., police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Beswick Drive on a report of an armed robbery. The victim reported that about an hour-and-a-half ago he was robbed by knifepoint by two known suspects. The victim sustained no injuries from the incident.

March 11
Person calling for help

1500 Block of Ivy Creek Circle
Officers responded to the above location regarding a man calling for help and banging on the reporting party’s window. The unknown suspect subsequently broke the reporting party’s bedroom window and made entry into the house. The reporting party, fearing for her safety, fled the house through the front door, where she was met by police. Officers made entry into the house and arrested the suspect without incident. The suspect was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Jail.

March 11
Auto/pedestrian injury accident

Silver Creek / Lexann
An auto versus pedestrian injury accident occurred when the Hispanic adult female driver was attempting to park her car in the Orchard Supply parking lot. She mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal and accelerated. The car struck two Hispanic male adults on the sidewalk. Both victims were transported by ambulance to Regional Medical Center. One victim had moderate head injuries which was non-life threatening. The unlicensed driver was cited at the scene.

March 15
Sexual battery

Eastridge Mall
The victim, an 18-year-old female employee at Eastridge, was assaulted by an adult male suspect. The suspect was identified and taken into custody.

March 18
Stabbing

2800 Block of Moss Hollow Creek
The suspect and victim are friends who were drinking together at the above location. While play fighting, the victim put a knife to the suspect’s throat. The suspect then stabbed the victim once in the abdomen (non-life threatening wound). The victim was transported to Regional Medical Center and the suspect was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.

March 18
Domestic violence

2700 Block of Othello Ave.
The victim’s mother called 911 to report the victim was physically abused. The 17-year-old female victim said that her boyfriend beat her on several occasions. Earlier on that day at the suspect’s residence, while the suspect was assaulting her, she grabbed a knife from the floor and stabbed the suspect’s leg and she was able to run home. The suspect sustained a minor wound to his leg and was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital where he was later arrested.

March 19
Strong arm robbery

King and Tully Roads – Lion’s Plaza
A female was physically assaulted by two unknown suspects in the parking lot of Lion’s Plaza. The suspects forcibly took the victim’s purse and fled. The victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
