Stretch it out!

Volunteers needed to learn exercises and assist senior citizens who have movement and coordination challenges. Volunteers would assist senior instructors Mwezo Kudumu and Jane Kerr of Kujiweza Healing Art’s Health Improvement Programs. The program features Tai Chi, Yoga, Chi Kung, Pilates and Walking/Chair Aerobics.

Morning and evening classes are taught six days a week at Creekside Cabana Club, The Villages Golf & Country Club, Stanford Medical Center and The Terraces of Los Gatos.For information call Jane at (408) 315-1179 or email: janekerr@sjyogataichi.org






SONS IN RETIREMENT:

Winsatt is a 15-year veteran teacher at Andrew Hill High School in the San Jose Eastside Union High School District, a school that was recently ranked as the number one college-preparatory high school in the city of San Jose, by "Newsweek" magazine. Winsatt is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Coordinator at the culturally diverse secondary school. CALIFORNIA SENIOR LEGISLATURE:
Anne M. Mack, Senior Senator in the California Senior Legislature, joins Norm Tarowsky, club president, after addressing the members and guests at the Evergreen Democratic Club at the Villages at the Foothill Center on Tuesday, Mar. 4. The Congress of California Seniors is a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of seniors and their families. CCS members meet with legislators in their Capitol and district offices, attend hearings and press conferences, and speak out for seniors in areas such as health care, prescription drugs, housing, social issues, etc. More information is available at Congress of California Seniors, 1230 N Street, Suite 201, Sacramento, CA 95814.
