Famed drummer Louie Bellson releases new CD
Louie Bellson, music legend and Evergreen resident, will release his new CD, Louie & Clark Expedition 2, on Apr. 2.
Bellson composed all the music in the collection and plays the drums as he creates his musical interpretation of the historic “Lewis and Clark Expedition” of 1803. Teaming with trumpeter Clark Terry, the American jazz masters perform, improvise, mentor and lead a 17-piece big band in what jazz historian Nat Hentoff calls a “celebration of the human spirit.”
The CD will be available on www.cdbaby.com/cd/bellson and through Apple iTunes.
Webelos Communicators
The Webelos of packs 265 and 608 visited Score! Educational Centers in Evergreen on Sunday, January 13, 2008 to earn our Communicator Badge. First, we wrote a letter to our family and friends on the computer. Then, we looked up five different websites, including Wikipedia, Yahoo, and Google. We also played the Body Language game where we had to show emotions by acting them out without talking. We heard three languages spoken by Luca, Ronak and Susan. They were Italian, Persian and Vietnamese. We learned six ways of communicating: by phone, email, talking, writing, signing and using body language. Pictured: Brian Truong, Brandon Ling, Justin Le, Devon Le, Ryan Ta, Rohan Shankar, Rohit Godbole, Prashant Bala, Aditya Kamath, Brian Kenedy, Yash Maniyar, Amog Kamsetty and Ishan Singha.
