Evergreen Area Police report

Mar. 10
Homicide
2800 Block of Hamrick Ct.
At 3:39 PM, San Jose Police Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Hamrick Court on an unknown disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, Fausto Vasquez, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. No motive has been established nor has the suspect been identified in this case. The investigation is on going.

Unattended death
3000 block of Linkfield Way
Officers responded for a Fire Aid call. On arrival, fire had pronounced death on a 92-year old female on the front porch of her residence. Night Detectives and crime scene personnel responded.

Shooting into an occupied dwelling
2800 Block of Gavilan Drive 
Officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired into an occupied residence.  Upon arrival, casings were recovered in the street in front of the home.  No one was injured. One vehicle in the driveway was also struck.  No suspects or vehicles were seen.

Disturbance / Officer Injury
2800 Block of S. White Road
An officer responded to an assault at the above location. The suspect was identified and became combative during his arrest. The officer twisted his knee while arresting the suspect. The officer was treated and released from the hospital.
