Library career series proves to be popular

By Joy Kim
Special to the Times

Since Evergreen Branch Library’s new résumé class has been such a hit, we’ve added another class to our career series. Come to the library on Tuesday, March 17, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to learn more about Job Search and Networking Skills. We’ll share strategies on how to prepare for your job search, find job postings online and network with professional contacts. And if you missed our March résumé classes, there’s no need to fret. Call the branch at 808-3060 and we’ll sign you up for the April session.

Evergreen is just one of many branches in the San José Public Library system offering résumé and job workshops this spring. If you can’t attend our events, visit http://sjlibrary.org/research/web/employment.htm#events to see a full listing of events for job seekers throughout the city. And if you have an idea for a job-related event that we should offer, please let us know! Ask any library staff member for a suggestion form the next time you visit the branch. We look forward to hearing your ideas.
